As well as winning many Open Championships and being crowned North American National Champion in the Under 9 Girls Section in 2005, Tara has also achieved outstanding success in the UK and Ireland.

Tara along with her two sisters, Bridget who is an Under 14 dancer and Deirdre an U6 dancer, dance for the Norton-Healy Academy in a suburb of Chicago, USA.
Tara started dancing at the age of four and competed at her first major competition, the Mid-America Oireachtas, at the age of six. Tara advanced through the dance levels quickly and currently competes in the U10 Open Championship Level.
Tara currently is in fourth grade at Visitation Catholic School and is an expert at juggling her studies with her dancing career.

Anne Marie and Gary are proud of Tara's successes to date and both know just how hard Tara works on perfecting her steps at class and when she spends hours practising at home. Practice certainly has been paying off for Tara!!!
It is easy to understand why Tara has done so well when you find out how successful her teachers have been in their dancing careers............Anne Marie began her dance career at the age of seven and as a teenager was trained by Irish Dancing Legend, Michael Flatley. Anne Marie enjoyed a successful dancing career culminating in her winning a gold medal at the World Championships in Galway in 1987 as a member of her school's Dance Drama.
Gary, born in Birmingham, England, started dancing at the age of ten with the McCarron School, and at the age of eighteen, moved to Glasgow and danced for the Taylor Academy. Gary's record of achievements are just amazing, winning the Great Britains, British Nationals, All Scotland, All Ireland and the Senior Men's World Championship title in 1998. Gary joined Riverdance The Show touring Europe and North America and was also an original cast member of Riverdance on Broadway..
The school have a lovely moto of 'Where everyone is one of a kind' .......
this certainly comes across when you see them in action with their dancers willing each and every one on to succeed
